President Jonathan To Buy New Executive Jet


President Goodluck Jonathan wants to ride yet another new aircraft, and he has asked the National Assembly to approve the purchase.  The request is part of the 2015 budget presented to the National Assembly in Abuja last week by the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. 
It will be the fourth such purchase since he took office in 2010.

2015: President Jonathan receives N21.27bn from donors to boost campaign


President Goodluck Jonathan’s reelection bid received a major boost on Saturday, as businessmen, multinational organisations, interest groups and individuals donated the sum of N21.27bn to support his campaign for the 2015 presidential election.
The naira rain was at the Peoples Democratic Party Fund Raising Dinner held at the old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Who Will Pastor Adeboye Bless: Pastor Osinbajo or President Jonathan?


The All Progressives Congress, APC has officially picked Pastor Yemi Osinbajo as his running mate for Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 presidential election.
The APC VP candidate, Osibanjo is a pastor at Pastor Enoch Adeboye's Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Olive Tree House of Prayer for All Nations in Banana Island.

Obasanjo’s misrule birthed Boko Haram-Owie


A former Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Rowland Owie, has called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to immediately begin probe of the administration of ex- President Olusegun Obasanjo.
He said the call became necessary following alleged fraudulent activities perpetrated during the tenure of the former President, whom he described as an anti- democrat.

We are wining war against corruption under Jonathan – Presidency


The presidency has once again affirmed that it is winning the war on corruption under President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
It noted that although it might not be immediately known to many at the moment, President Jonathan and his team were working tirelessly to crush corruption.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, made this known in a statement in Abuja.

I’m still suffering for failing to stop Tambuwal from becoming Speaker in 2011 — Jonathan


President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed regrets at his inability to stop Aminu Tambuwal and install a South West politician as Speaker of the House of Representatives in 2011.
He said he is still suffering for failing in that enterprise.
Speaking on Friday at the Yoruba Unity Summit themed: ‘National Development: Wither the Yoruba,’at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Mr. Jonathan attributed his failure to the selfishness of some Yoruba leaders.
In 2011, Aminu Tambuwal, who is from the Northwest, had defeated Mulikat Akande, a Yoruba from the South West, to emerge the House Speaker.

Goodluck Jonathan to be Served Impeachment Notice on Dec 3


According to Rep. Mohammed Tahir Monguno, President Goodluck Jonathan is to be served with impeachment notice when the House of Representatives reconvene on Wednesday.


Senators and members of the House of Representatives had commenced collecting signatures for the removal of the president after the November 20 security siege on the National Assembly. During the siege, the speaker of the House Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and other lawmakers were teargased by the police. House members began collecting signatures that same day while senators followed suit two days after. And already, 200 members and about 60 senators were said to have thrown their weight behind moves to oust the president.
