Police
shot the armed man dead after three students were wounded at Florida State
University.
Officers confronted the gunman earlier today and ordered him to
drop his weapon, but he fired one shot at them and they unleashed a volley of
shots, Tallahassee Police spokesman Dave Northway said.

Campus police Chief David Perry said: ‘This person for whatever
reason produced a handgun and then began shooting students in the library.’
Perry added between 300 and 400 students were inside the
library when the gunman started shooting.
The
incredible footage, which has been uploaded to YouTube, shows fear-stricken
students in the library as a voice on an intercom system says ‘there has been a
shooting’.
Someone is heard saying: ‘Jesus.’
