Bomb blast near Christ Embassy Suleja

More than five people have been injured because of a bomb blast close to a Christ Embassy church in Suleja, close to the capital Abuja, Witness said.

The bomb exploded at and shattered the glass of five vehicles. Nobody was reported dead. Four of the injured suffered minor injury, while the last person is receiving treatment in the hospital

Uyi Idugboe, pastor of Christ Embassy Church, said one of his congregations had spotted a suspicious looking package between two cars when he went outside to see if his vehicle was locked. He then alerted everyone to stay indoors.

"The blast struck just a few minutes after our service started at 10am," he said.
Nobody has claimed responsibility for this, but Boko Haram has been responsible for most of the bomb attacks in the North.
Last Christmas Day, a Catholic Church in Madalla, Niger State, a few miles from Abuja was bombed by the Boko Haram leaving scores dead and wounding several parishioners.
