Remi and Korede were both an item in school and everyone knew and so no male attempted to get fresh with Remi. No one dared; he was greatly feared on campus because of his physique. He was a karate black belter and an ardent body builder. Ironically, the ladies like to flock around him hoping to get him to have even but a fling with them but he had eyes only for Remi. Quite unlike most ladies, Remi didn’t think anything of the attraction Korede emitted to the opposite sex, if anything, she trusted him well enough not to do anything that would embarrass her. Their love blossomed and they both worked towards concretizing their relationship immediately after school.
Apart from Korede, Remi developed friendship with Alimetu,
a fellow student who though shared the same hostel block with her, was in a different department; Alimetu was a student of anthropology while Remi was in the medical field – biochemistry to be precise. Their friendship was such that they could both spend the holidays at each other’s home. Alimetu had spent the previous holiday with Remi and her family and with the holidays fast approaching, Alimetu decided to reciprocate Remi’s gesture by inviting her home for the holidays. Remi was welcomed with open arms in Alimetu’s home. Alimetu’s parents extended the same warmth and love they showered on their only child to anyone Alimetu introduced to them as her friend. Remi liked Alimetu’s mother instantly and even liked her father the more.
Alimetu’s father owned a big farm where he cultivated cash crops and was also into big time animal husbandry. His farm was so huge that he had about a thousand people on his pay roll. Even though he had a competent hand that did all the checks and balances, he still deemed it necessary to pop in once in a while to supervise things. On such occasions, Alimetu usually accompanied him if she was around for the holidays. Now that she had Remi visiting, Remi joined in the trips to the farm. A week into the holidays, Alimetu fell ill and compelled Remi to accompany her father to the farm rather than to sit with her while she recuperated. After the third visit to the farm, Remi became really drawn to Alimetu’s father. She would launch into deep conversations with him and the naturally quiet man was surprised that a girl his daughter’s age had such wisdom and could bring him out of his shell.
Well, sparks soon began to fly between the two and try as much as he could, he couldn’t resist Remi, he found it difficult to be drawn away from her. The more he tried to, the closer he found himself getting to her. One day while in the living room watching a late night movie, Remi crept up beside him. One thing led to the other; they began to fondle and kiss themselves. Alimetu who had woken up and couldn’t find Remi beside her in bed had gone in search of her without a sound and stumbled on them making out. To say that she was shocked would be a mild understatement. She disrupted their fun and went back to bed in tears, refusing to tell her mother what she stumbled on. Despite Remi’s pleas, Alimetu asked her to leave her home.
Seeing that Remi wasn’t prepared to leave, Alimetu invited Korede over and narrated the entire tale to him; the cat was eventually let out of the bag. Korede wants to move past the incident provided Remi comes back to her senses. Remi says she has found her soul mate in Alimetu’s father while Alimetu’s father is torn between his loyalty to his wife and his emotions which he never knew existed until Remi awakened them.
