. Four suspected members
of the Boko Haram have been arrested in Kano in
the wee hours of Wednesday at Tishama area of Hotoro at the outskirt of Kano metropolis.
Spokesman of the Joint security task force in Kano state, Lieutenant
Ikedichi Iweha confirmed the arrest.
Speaking with reporters on phone, the spokesman of
the task force explained that the security condoned the area and arrested four
suspects.
He pointed that the suspects was arrested during a
shoot out at Hotoro general area, but he declined to give further details of
causalities or death during the attacked.
THISDAY in Kano
observed that the residents of the state woke up with the early morning to
gunshots and explosions on Wednesday which raised fear among the people.
The January 20th multiple bomb attack by the Boko
Haram members killed 185 people in Kano
and the state government imposed a curfew from 10pm to 6am to restore peace and
normalcy in the state.
Our correspondent observed that normalcy is now
slowly being restored in the state, as people move freely to their businesses
though security check points, manned by the combined team of soldiers and
policemen, are still in force in virtually all the areas of the state.
