Mel B and her husband Stephen Belafonte have had a ridiculously tough time of things lately, from rumours of splitting to claims he 'hit' her after she appeared on The X Factor with bruises.
Now, it's being reported that the Spice Girl's husband could be entering the Celebrity Big Brother 2015 house to clear his name and probably take part in a bizarre challenge where he pretends to be a cat. Or something similar, anyway.
The 39-year-old, who has finally broken his silence and spoken out about *those* worrying abuse claims, is apparently being eyed up for the house because he's such 'hot property' at the moment.
Didn't know five minutes of (bad) press made you some superstar A-list celeb but okay.
The rumour mill started turning when Stephen took to Twitter to write about 'always feeling watched,' which many of his followers took as a not-so-subtle nod to the Channel 5 show's infamous eye logo.
And now the show itself has piped up to reportedly confirm that Mel's hubby is, in fact, in talks with the show as they believe he could really make the ratings sing.
Spokeswoman Jessica Bridge said: “Stephen’s the hottest ticket in town at the moment.
“And if he ’fesses up about his split with Mel it’s sure to see ratings rocket."
But will he still be the hottest ticket come January?
Jessica added: “It’s going to be hard to turn his public perception around, but plenty of bad boys have won in the past like Gary Busey and Paddy Doherty.”
Watch this space!
Yesterday, Stephen slammed rumours that he assaulted his wife and then fled the country in an interview with The Daily Mail.
During the interview Stephen was asked about the rumours that he assaulted Mel, to which he responded: “Who accused me of it, did she accuse me of it, the police, the hospital, who accused me of it?
“I thought when you beat someone up the police or the hospital or the person you beat up says it.”
When he was pressed again about the incident Stephen revealed that legal matters were already in motion to squash the rumours, saying: “I already made a comment on Twitter, I already gave a statement on it.
“You'll see all the legal letters going out tomorrow. Everybody's been contacted by Mel's representative, all the papers, that said: "I did not hit her, this isn't going on, that's not going on".”
It seems like a day can't go by at the moment without some other rumour/claim/report about something bad in Mel and Stephen's relationship, and we just hope they can be left to sort things out as soon as possible.
