News reaching us from Damaturu,
Yobe State capital indicates that gunmen, suspected to be members of the Boko
Haram sect, Monday morning invaded state capital shooting at anybody on sight.
It was gathered that the
gunmen’s first point of attack was the Yobe State University located in
Damaturu.
The attack, which is ongoing at
the time of filing this report, has crippled early morning movement in the
northeastern state.
A resident said it was obvious
the attackers were out to capture the capital city.
